Hi, you have the B&H 399 listed with sapphire bearings. This is not correct. What they did was put a sapphire tip on the claw that pulls down the film. The theory was this would last longer. The problem was the glue that held it on gave up long before any wear took place and it fell off. Most were replaced with earlier claws (179 185 285 385) and worked fine after that. The other clever thing they did to this model was to close up all the oil holes and called it lifetime lubrication. Lifetime was a lot shorter. C. C.
