on the home page.
2008-2009
In May we went geocaching between Discovery Park and the Ballard Locks.
We searched for hidden "treasure" using Global Positioning Satellite
receivers. Those who participated had a lot of fun. Many thanks to
Mandy and Tim for leading this, and to Geocaching.com for lending the GPS
receivers.
Our June pack meeting on June 12 was the last meeting of the school
year, was our Blue and Gold banquet to celebrate the past year and pass out
awards. It was held at the usual meeting place, Magnolia Presbyterian
Church, 3051 28th Ave. W. Congratulations to the boys (and their parents)
who completed their advancement.
A good portion of the pack went to Cub Scout Day Camp, which was July 8 - 11 at
Carkeek Park. A great time was had by all.
We held our Raingutter Regatta on Sunday September 14 at Ella Bailey Park
It was nice and sunny this year, and a brisk wind helped the boats with fast
sailing.
The boys had great fun racing their cars at the Pinewood Derby in Feb. We
also had a fun bowling night in March, The boys beat the parents.
The boys participated in some joint activities with Pack 80. These included Wolf/Bear winter camp in December, bicycle rodeo in the spring and Mom & Me Camp in the spring.
We all had a fun time bowling at Spin Alley.
2007-2008:
Welcome to our new Cub Scouts! And special thanks
to the Boy Scouts of Troop 85 who helped lead the Cubs in scoutly games
at the first pack meeting of the school year, and led the first aid
training.
We had fun at the Raingutter Regatta even though the rain
didn't let up until we were packed up an ready to go home.
We managed to keep the hot dogs and snacks dry under the canopy.
The weather was perfect for the corn maze trip, nice and sunny
without any mud! We were careful to watch the maps and avoid
wrong turns, getting through the maze in record time, so that we were
able to do both mazes.
We had an amazing assortment of pumpkins at our pumpkin carving
contest, everybody did a great job.
Thanks to everyone who helped with the litter pick-up along
Gilman Ave. And thanks to Mark for organizing it for the
past 3 years.
The Pinewood Derby race was on February 7. This was great fun
for
everyone. Congratulations to all the boys who built such great
looking cars.
For the March den meeting, the Wolves designed, built and
played on their own miniature golf course. (Photos on the photo
page).
We had another Litter pick-up along Gilman Avenue in
May. This is a good way to help the community, and is actually
quite fun too.

There were some great
cars built by the boys of Pack 85. Congratulations to all the
winners and

The bowling outing was a bunch of fun, a wide variety of
bowling techniques
were demonstrated.
At the May pack meeting drew our own animated films in
the style of Norman
McLaren. Everyone got a piece of film to draw on. Each
piece was spliced
together and we all watched the finished product.
For our Spring service project we continued our ongoing litter

Gilman Ave. Thanks to all who helped out.
